What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, the name you choose to display, and anything you add to your profile such as a handle, city, bio or picture. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile details from Google — never your Google password.
As you use Upik we store the things you do in the app: venues you save, places you check into, crowd reports you send, parties you host or RSVP to, submissions you send to venues, and support messages you write to us.
Why we use it
To run your account, to show live crowd levels, to keep your saved spots and check-ins on your profile, to answer support requests, and to keep the platform safe from abuse and spam.
What other people can see
Your display name, handle, picture and public profile activity are visible to other Upik users. Your check-ins and crowd reports are used to calculate a venue's crowd level, but individual reports are not shown to other users. Your email address is never shown publicly.
We email you about your account — confirming your address, resetting your password, and replying to support. These are sent from our own sending domain by our email provider on our behalf.
Your choices
You can edit or clear your profile details at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data through support. Deleting your account removes your profile, saves, check-ins and reports.
